When to visit

We are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Last entry is 30 minutes prior to closing. 

We are open every day except Sunday`s and Major Holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving *Eve/Day
  • Christmas *Eve/Day

*Special Eve Hours: 9:00a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Admission is free on Saturdays for residents of Kaua`i & Ni`ihau. (ID Required)

Tours:

  • Self-Led Tour: Monday through Saturday 9a-4p
  • Private or Group Tours: Email Education

Directions from the Airport:

  • Head southeast on Ahukini Rd Toward Ho`olimalima St. (0.1 mi)
  • Sharp Left to stay on Ahukini Rd. (1.1 mi)
  • Turn Left on Umi St. (0.3 mi)
  • At the traffic circle, continue straight to stay on Umi St. (0.2 mi)
  • Turn right onto Rice St. (420 ft)

  • The General Public Entrance is located on Rice Street.
